First 2 sections of the white "boot stripe" now fitted to the hull, only 9 to go.

Port side boot stripe and depth information all added to the ship.  When dry and solid will give a coat of pledge and then do the other side.

The plastic bars removed and replaced with brass rod to give some more strength when rigging is added.

Thought I would have to plat some copper wire to replace the chain that gives strength to the bow, but found some 32 links per inch that "she who must be obeyed" gave me a while ago and it fits the small holes in the bow plate.

Not sure Zak, most of this class had problems with the bow and wet ford deck under rough weather..
Not found anything in my books about the chains and if they improved the ship.  Most talk about the funnel and smoke on the bridge and how the AA armament was improved. I just like this as its totally different to any other ship.

All the chains and bits and bobs fitted to the bow - next job touch up the black chain ( don't you just hate photos that show up all the problems) then its back to working on the bridge.

Flory wash added to the deck and the bow section has had most removed, still some still to go.
