More research reveals that they were built by the Stanhay Company of Ashford in Kent. They made vehicles converted  for a variety of agricultural jobs, many used compressed air.
The jib is operated by compressed air.
They built a machine for picking up apple boxes and so on - one offs mainly.

Undercoated.
It needs a rub down when dry.

Fantastic Zak.
'Biggles' ought to be really over the moon with this rendition to go with his 'Whirlwind's'.
This is modelling at its best.

#28
All plastic rod, card and strip construction.
I put this together last night just yo get a feel for the dimensions and to attempt some wheels, no details added yet. Like Airfix this is the first test shot.
The springs do not look right.

The bottom picture is the Flightpath one, the best picture that I could find.
