Ka15 ambulance
« on: September 07, 2021, 01:26:00 PM »
Next project. Kamov Ka15 ambulance produced by Amodel in 1/72nd scale.
It's the usual Amodel short run soft plastic; a bit fiddly.

Actually I'm not going as quick as I expected. Anyway here is the interior added into the fuselage.

Main sub-assemblies done. There are 30 parts in the rotor assembly - fiddly to say the least; it took a few attempts.

Painting done - hand brushed. Thought it a bit small for airbrushing. Now ready for decals. The main decals were missing but they were in another model so I've been able to scan them and print another set off.

Finished at last. A bit fiddly in places. Not my best but it adds to the collection.
The white is Halfords Fiat white 249 - I've found this the best white so far which gives a reasonable finish. The decals were slow as I had to make some more but they went on ok.
