Hi All,
Sorry, not posted a topic for a while.
This is something that has been on the building bench for a while. It is a 1/350th scale of a Type IXc by Bronco Models.
This was a long range submarine of which there were 54 made, 35 patrol models, and 19 Minelayers.
Inferior to the earlier Type VII submarines in most respect, except for range, its additional 43 tonnes of fuel gave it a much farther reaching patrol range.

Some picture of the almost complete item. Still needs the aerials adding, decals and flag, and a final matt  varnish to bring it all together.

Cheers,
Bigkev

Kevin I was impressed when I first glanced at this thinking it was 72 or 144 scale. 350th, well that just bowls me over. Truly an excellent result.

Looks really good, are you starting your own fleet.

Is your submarine fleet going to attack Haddocks surface fleet ??????  YoHoHo

Excellent model Kevin. You'll have a whole fleet of subs soon.

Hi All,
Thankyou for the kind words regarding this project, they are much appreciated.
I hope to be able to provide a few more pictures as the model nears full completion.
One kind gesture from Haddock today gleaned a couple of pictures showing deck railing alongside the conning tower, these are not included in the kit.
Haddock has very kindly offered to see if he has something in his 'brass' that might make this build even more accurate. Thanks Haddock, I'll be in touch.
In the meantime, I have been able to add the aerials fore and aft.
And for those expecting a 'submarine battle' it will not happen, I am sure that Haddock and I will combine our fleets at a future show sometime, well that's the hope.
Cheers,
Bigkev

Hi All,
These are the latest pictures of this model.
It is still without the possible side railings from Haddock.
And still needing a further coat of matt varnish, but hey, ho.
Thanks for all your comments so far.
Cheers,
Bigkev
