Finished this a couple of days ago. It's the Tamiya 1/35 scale Cromwell MK IV, this one is slightly different in that it has an Accurate Armour split drivers hatch which allowed the driver to escape when the turret was traversing. it's in the marking of the 8th Hussars which was the armoured recce unit of 7 armoured division.
painted in my usual way with Tamiya, Hataka and ammo mig paints.
I have another two Cromwell and an ARV to do.

Great model and diorama. Why the white roof?

I've read that because the forward troops had been hit by the RAF frequently an order came out before operation goodwood to paint the top flat surface of turrets white, I don't think it was a good idea and the tank crew didn't like it either. There are a few pictures of Cromwell's that look a light colour on the tops which is bigger than the normal white star. I think it's a bit debatable but it could be feasible.

You've made a cracking job of this one. Love the camouflage strips.

It looks really great, Bob. The photos with the background are great!

Fully agree with Red Lancer,
The model is very impressive, but the pictures just take it to another level.
