Started this a few days ago. A bit of cleaning up to be done - quite a bit of flash.

Main fuselage and cabin internals completed. Quite a bit of flash on the parts.

For some unknown reason, the shape of this one appeals to me.

Some nice detail in the cockpit, with parts you usually have to scratch build.

councilman

The cockpit reminds me of a WACO WW2 glider.

I see what you mean Andy about the WACO.. When / how did they use this type Chris ????

This was the first Sikorsky production machine. The type actually saw service in ww2 in 1945. Apparently ithe first recorded use of the hoist was in Burma. Yes the fuselage looks amost identical to the Waco. I suspect it was modelled on the Waco.

Assembly complete - now ready for masking. A fair amount of clean-up was requied on the in,dividual parts. The vacform glazing was a bit tricky, but got there in the end.

Looks great.
I must say I am not a fan of Vac form stuff.

Me neither. I suppose it's an issue of short run kits.

Nice to see I'm not the only one with a mucky cutting mat.
Looking forward to this one.
Haddock.

Some vacform canopies ae easier to cut out than others. I find the sanding down to be the part requiring most patience and care. Was there a spare with this kit as that's a bonus from some manufacturers?

Vac Form is way beyond me!!!
