It is still a lot better than I could manage.

Ditto,
If I could manage anything nearing half the amount of skill shown, I would be a happy bunny!
Cheers,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

I agree a lot better than me.

Great job Howard. I once tried to re-create tartan on the Airfix set of Highlanders, no wonder my eyesight's buggered!!!

Red Lancer

Things have slowed down as have been struggling with Samurai
Jacket is done, although I think it is a bit on the 'red' side, but cant tell in this photo
as it is in the famous Airing cupboard. A few other bits have been tidied up, socks , bearskin etc. .
You can't see the socks at the moment as it wont stand up without all that Blue Tack!
Now need to address the straps etc. and a few minor things. Oh! and that left eye!

Red Lancer

OOPs, sorry

Getting fed up of pictures!!!!!

You know, you might be a trend setter.
Don't lose heart Red Lancer, I'm sure you'll get the hang of posting pictures.
Bigkev.

Very big clue!
have been progressing this in between getting exasperated with Samurai.
Not much left to do, white belts are done, and did the boots a couple of days ago,
but they don' t look too good on here and not much better in reality, so the paint stripper might be coming out!

Red Lancer

Finally finished Jock of 92.
I left the tartan well alone but tarted up the rest. I quite enjoyed doing it.
There are a couple more of this sort in the loft I think, so may try again in future. Assuming there is a future after Samurai!
The left eye is still not good but was heading the way of a face repaint so I chickened out!
I did have a few issues with Airfix Clear (??? anything but!) Matt varnish, again, but have solved that for future use as it is now in the dustbin,
never to be replaced!
Anyway, he has been promoted to the display Cabinet rather than back to the loft.

Another great figure Howard. The face looks brilliant, the latest issue of Tankette has a Schwimwagen on the cover and the figures look like they've put foundation on with a trowel. Nowhere near as good as your painting. Well done. Did you you shade the leaves around the base or id it just the way the light has caught them?

Red Lancer

Hi Chris
I shaded them just for something to do one afternoon! A bit over the top I think but it took only a few minutes.
