LAVOCHKIN LA5

Lavochkin La5 FN. Finally finished. The last bits were put in place on Saturday night at a B&B in South Shields just before the Northern Model Show, those being the pitot tube and the antenna wires. I'd taken all my tools with me to do this but forgot the instructions so was working from memory with the wires. Completely wrong as it happens but ask me if I care! There should be two wires running from the top of the mast behind the cockpit to the mast on the fin; one to the top and one to the bottom. The down wire to the radio set drops off the wires just behind the cockpit and down into the radio which is situated just behind the pilot's seat. Oh well. I really enjpyed the build though and like the whole look of the aircraft so may well pick up the KP model which has not long been released and to high reviews. I'll get the wires right on that one. Maybe.

Personally, I think it's a damn fine model. I look forward to seeing the KP one if it's as good as reported. Again, Well Done!
