For those music lovers out there, Eddie Trunk is the American version of someone like Bob Harris/Tommy Vance.  He's been involved with the hard rock/heavy metal industry for 30 plus years and although I've been aware of him, I've never actually followed him (as he's a Yank).

Anyhow, I recently by chance stumbled across his interview podcasts and I'm "well impressed".  The first one was on 7 Oct 2014 with Judas Priest.  Since then, he has interviewed many musicians across the board including; Bobby Blitz of Overkill, Robin Zander of Cheap Trick, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, Joe Satriani, Alex Lifeson of Rush, Punky Meadows of Angel (complete with his pooched out succulence of his insolent pouting rictus) and Bill Ward of Black Sabbath - this one is particularly funny as during the telephone interview from his house, Bill has to answer his other 'phone and then the door to let the builders in!!!!

There is a slight commercial lean as there are sponsor messages to get across but you can drag the scroll bar through them and even if you aren't a fan of the particular band, the interviews are very interesting in themselves as Eddie is a respected personality with them all so they tend not to hold back.  A bit like Desert Island Discs without the music.  If you like guitar oriented music, give him a try...
