Before you ask. There is a rock climb on Gimmer Crag in the Lake District called "Kipling Groove" first climbed in 1948 by A R Dolphin and J B Lockwood. It's traditional for the first climber to do the route
to give it a name. History tells us that when Dolphin was asked "why Kipling Groove?" his answer was " well, it was ruddy'ard ". Today, although there are routes much harder, Kipling Groove is still considered to be a test-piece for the aspiring hard-man.

We await further enlightenment Mr Beesting.

Well anything that's Kipling must be ruddy 'ard. New word for the modellers vocabulary.
More polite than some of the others we sometimes use.

Hope your tests have been a success.

Do try to Keep up Wizzel! ::)

Wizzel

I do try but when I'm pitted against such hard-core members, with your lousy colour TV sets and your Tony Jacklin golf clubs and your bleedin' masonic handshakes...

Kiteman

....you dont give a tinkers cuss for the struggling model maker......
