A SAD DAY BUT HAPPY MEMORIES

Good day to you all,

Well, sadly, I have to inform you that after 2 years' loyal service, Brian, my trusty stabilising spud is being retired to it's final home in the compost bin.

This faithful tuber has held many cocktail sticks in a steadfast grip in order that I could attach to the sticks small pieces of plastic that would require careful painting.  It has done this without complaint or prejudice for these last 24 months and I think it only fitting that due recognition should be given to the devotion it has displayed.

Whilst we say a sad farewell to Brian. I would like to welcome his replacement, Justine.  Justine has proved a worthy replacement, having already willingly held in place the potential fence posts for my Thirtle Bridge Camp diorama for painting.  I'm sure her resolve will be tested over the coming months.

Hi All,
Why have her chipped, somebody is bound to find her and bring her back!

For me, I use a block of Balsa as a holder for my cocktail stick painted items, but I can see the merits of using Brian, at least you can recycle him in the composter, ...................................just thought, you can also do that with a mother-in-law!!

I use a block of plasticene ( modelling clay) for the same purpose.

Or a small homeless child.
