Looks like the Battle of Britain is not quite finished yet then in the Zak output!

Loved the NAAFI van...
... and essential item on any RAF airfield!

Wonderful.

I may now have peaked and BOB modelling is nearing an end - just preparing you all.

Hi Dave,
I think you have done the Battle of Britain period proud...
... and in an area that very rarely (if ever) gets modelled... ground crew vehicles and buildings... AND figures!
The only consolation is that the Battle of Britain's loss will be some other area of modelling/history's gain...
It'll be interesting to see what takes your fancy and imagination next.

Brilliant Dave!

I've noticed the different 'sizes' of various manufacturers' figures... the ones in the Airfix 1/48 groundcrew ser scale out about 1/43rd scale!

Been doing a bit of modelling outside on the patio table this afternoon, trying to catch up with your output Dave...
... but failing miserably!

Hi Andy,
You've made good progress...

Like Chris mentioned, extra care may need ti to be taken around the nose transparencies... apparently the nose glazing halves need to be fixed to the fuselage halves first before the fuselage halves are joined.

Will keep in touch,

Nice job Bill!

I am pleased to report that Bill has painted it in the correct A Scheme pattern (to (Air Ministry Diagram AD1160 for Single Engined Monoplanes, issued in June 1936) and in the shades that the film makers used!!!
Anybody would think that I'm an anally retentive pedant where RAF camouflage schemes are concerned!!??!!

Agree wholeheartedly with Kiwichappers, and all the others, another lovely job Bob.
I bet you're glad you persevered with it!
The shot against the backdrop is really effective and again brings the model to life.

Spot-on Bob.

I've already had one heart attack, and all this talk of PAYING is starting to raise the old blood pressure again!

By the time Dave has finished producing Battle of Britain buildings and vehicles etc, he'll be able to fill TWO 60ft x 4ft displays!
I may even run out of Spitfires and Hurricanes to populate the dioramas!

As everything is in modular form, as Dave mentioned, different buildings/vehicles/aeroplanes could be used to create different dioramas...
... the world is our lobster.............!

Tally Ho!

Dave,
Your 19 Squadron taxi...
Brilliant!
I love it!!!
Where did you get the inspiration for that from?
I MUST make some 19 Squadron Spitfires now to place around it!

Hi Dave,
Did you ever get around to finishing the barrage balloon?

I think you have gone through many/most of the vehicles that were used by Fighter Stations in 1940.

I just can't wait (although I will of course) to see tham all in real life.

Dave,
I can't believe your rate of output!
VERY impressed with the cars and the tractor.
I honestly don’t know how you do it.
You have a rare skill there Mr Smith.
Respect Sir.

Stap me vitals!
Another vehicle produced in record time!
Terrific!
You'll be able to equip a full 1/48 scale airfield by the time you've finished!

Bob's right, we'll have to hire Rix Pavillion for you to display them all!!!

Keep 'em coming,
Biggles

Spot on Dave.
Excellent.
The figures bring the diorama to life.
You're going to have one hell of a collection when you eventually get to display them all in public!
