The work on the Anson stood me in good stead when it came to applying the etch in the cockpit. Strangely there is etch for the starboard side console, see photo, but no part to fit it to and none shown in the instructions. RLM 66 was applied overall with the consoles painted black and dry brushed with Vallejo Steel. I has to re-adjust one of the nosebay wheel well sides to bring it inline with the floor but when a test closure of the fuselage was done there's  still a gap which will need filling. Weight has been added to the nose using the self adhesive weights I bought at Sword and Lance, a bargain at £1 a strip, plus old tack. One of the wing uppers didn't match up with the lower part so had to be sanded down. The instructions don't point out that you need to open up holes for the wing cannons and the radiator housings. All were duely done and I went against the instructions and fitted the radiator fronts to the wings before putting the covers over the top.

I sanded the nose down further and then resprayed The Dark Sea Grey. this was followed bu masking with Blue Tack and then a coat of Vallejo Dark Slate Grey was applied. This was thin on application so meant touch ups were required once the masking was removed and runs/ridges dealt with. The undesides will need a further coat of Sky Type S as there's a marked difference in the spray applied paint and the brush touch ups.

When you look at the instructions and parts I think IBG could learn a lot about KISS!!

I made an Aurora kit once, can't remember what is though as it was around 60yrs ago!!!

Just checked Kev and as I thought AModel released this in 1/72nd as well hence the odd instructions.

I also built this in my youth Andy, have a nice time reminiscing as you go along.

Back onto relatively safe ground this is the Micro Mir kit of the Blohm und Voss P.193. I find it amazing that kits are still being produced in the Ukraine. The box contains an eight page instruction booklet, three sprues of blue/grey plastic, one clear, an etch fret, decals for one option and a set of canopy masks. All being well these will also fit the Revell P.194 in my stash as the P series of aircraft had a generic cockpit section, differing only in the proposed instrumentation fit.

The lower surfaces have been masked with Blu-tack and Tamiya tape and this was followed by an overall coat of Tamiya Dark Sea Grey, which is a good match for the primer!! This showed up that even more that work is needed around the nose section. The turret on most Hudsons was painted black for whatever reason so after masking and an undercoat of Tamiya Cockpit Green Vallejo Black was applied. The holes for the machine guns being drilled prior.

There's a lot of etch brass to fit with some not having locations in the instructions, but I worked them out. The aileron actuators are tiny and need a 90deg bend, I got there but Haddock must be spinning in his grave!!!. Once on and painted the aerial mast, DF loop and gunsight were fitted. The masking was removed and touch-ups done, the tape adhesive remained in places but I've left it on to represent dirt after a mission. The instructions would have you fit the rear Lewis gun onto the internal frame and then place the upper part of the turret over it. There's no way this could happen but an online search found that the gun was often removed when the aircraft was on the ground for various reasons, so that solved that!!
Not an easy build with vague instructions, parts that don't fit and canopy masks would be a God send. I did however get more experience with resin and etch so not all bad.

This should keep you busy for a while.
