Title: Sea King Asac 7
Post by: chriswil42 on October 02, 2020, 02:18:45 PM: This is going to be using the Revell kit modified with Model Alliance decals.
The kit is for the HAS 6 or the AEW 2 but is easily modified to the Asac 7.

Nice Chris,
I see the radome is inflated, was this a planned display of the Asac 7, or limited by what was on offer parts wise?

It's limited by what's in the kit. I have seen some modellers use parts of a rubber glove thumb but it didn't look right. I actually do have a photo with the AEW2 with the inflated bag in that position. So while not common it is possible.

thanks for the update, just goes to show you that research pays off.
I could have let you have several rubber gloves though.....

Post by: chriswil42 on November 04, 2020, 02:27:57 PM: Now finished. All aerials seem to vary from aircraft to aircraft so no guarantee it's totally accurate. Overall a nice kit; not too much filling. The Model Alliance decals went on a treat. Main greys are mr hobby 308 (fuselage) and 334 (rotors).
