This is going to be using the Revell kit modified with Model Alliance decals.
The kit is for the HAS 6 or the AEW 2 but is easily modified to the Asac 7.
-
This promises to be an interesting looking build. I had to look online to see what Asac meant, doh!!!
-
Will you do it with the tiger stripe ????????

Done that one already which I had displayed at the club.

Some sub assembles done. The parts are all cleanly moulded - nice to work with. The fine detail is good.
-
Its always a pleasure to build a nicely made and moulded kit.
-
Here is the bulk of the fuselage built with a couple of other main assemblies. Now to add all the radar jammers and all the bits and bobs etc. to the fuselage.

Hi Chris,
Looking good.

Nice Chris,
I see the radome is inflated, was this a planned display of the Asac 7, or limited by what was on offer parts wise?
Cheers,

It's limited by what's in the kit. I have seen some modellers use parts of a rubber glove thumb but it didn't look right. I actually do have a photo with the AEW2 with the inflated bag in that position. So while not common it is possible.

Hi Chris,
thanks for the update, just goes to show you that research pays off.
I could have let you have several rubber gloves though.....
Looking forward to seeing the finished item.

Another shade of grey!
Main colur on the seaking; detail on the aerials etc to do before the decals(transfers, stickers).
-
Now finished. All aerials seem to vary from aircraft to aircraft so no guarantee it's totally accurate. Overall a nice kit; not too much filling. The Model Alliance decals went on a treat. Main greys are mr hobby 308 (fuselage) and 334 (rotors).

Nice clean model.

Very nice Chris, flew in one many years ago but it was the Hu version.
