Well once again, something else took my fancy. I bought these two from Malcolm, so in keeping with the club ethos, they were cheap.
They are the Airfix 1/72 Gloster Gladiator Mk1 kits. They were built straight from the box.
One finished as that at The Shuttleworth Collection has stretched sprue rigging, the other, finished as a Gloster J-8A has fine wire rigging.
Nice little kits.
My excuse, well at least they are biplanes!
Are you sure there's only one of you?
Haddock.
Thank goodness, yes, I could not cope with more than one of me.
The rest of the world would struggle as well!

I agree !!!!!!!!!
By Twingo Zak!
Two Biplanes built at speed. And very nice too.
Are you on those drugs again?

To stretch sprue or not to strech sprue, that is the question. The difference between the two riggings is noticeable. Nice little models those. Interesting livery. How do you manage to build so quickly???
I think it has something to do with being retired but I may be wrong!!

Yes, got it in one, bad weather, plenty of time, so stay in and do some modelling.
Not a bad way to fritter away a few hours though...........

Still side-tracking.
This is the 1/72 Airfix Grumman OA-12 Duck.
Built form the box, very basic kit.
Still need to rig it.
finished as 10th rescue squadron USAF, Elmendorf, Alaska, 1948.
Very, very neat indeed.
Thanks.
Bl...y H..l Zak, I cant breath as fast as you knock em out. A very nice model.
Hi Zak,
Have you cornered the market on quick drying paints and glue?
Beware of industrial espionage if true, you may wake up in some Foreign Country seeking to extract the secret from you..................................
Outcome, no more modelling for quite some time!
Oooops!
