Title: Something for the weekend?
Post by: Kiteman on November 28, 2014, 12:32:15 AM
just to give me a break from the seemingly endless rigging on the Passat I decided to knock up a couple of little submarines. One, a U Boot VII C is in 1:400 and is from Heller. Not a bad little kit but very boring on the stand. on doing a bit of Research I found out that one of these subs is a museum ship and is permanantly on display in Laboe, so got a piccy of it and decided to build a postcard size diorama based on the Laboe senario. The second is the USS Greenville in 1:700 from Hobby Boss. Not a detailed kit at all so after i got it together I sawed it in half, stuck it on a bit of wood and try to mimic an emergency blow.
It was fun and a good distraction from rigging for a couple of days. See what you think.
