Yes, side tracked again I am afraid.
Sorry, its an Airfix Mk1 Spitfire in 1/72 scale.
At least I am doing some modelling again.

That looks nice, Barry Kettly Memorial Trophy ?
I think we are looking for aircraft depicted during WW2 and not either pre or post even though they are thought of as WW2 Aircraft. Or am I completely wrong?
Bill
You are correct.
Will this do then?
MkVb in 1/72

Yes, indeed it will. It is a Spitfire, add 20 points to your score!!!
Unbiased judge.
Bill
This may also do, its a 1/72 Revell MkV with clipped wings.

Oh Dave,
Not another 20 points!
Will I get one point for writing my name on my invisible entry?
Kevin.
PS. All three kits look really nice, I'm going to have to get cracking with something...........................
I sincerely hope that all this is just a smoke screen and you're all frantically building warships for the maritime display, if not, words will be spoken !!!!
Haddock.
Its all smoke and mirrors anyway.
More smoke and the odd mirror.
I had real trouble with this the transfers fell apart and so I had to paint the invasion stripes, coated the rest with gloss varnish before applying them.
It a different scale, found in my collection, its the Academy 1:48 Mk. XIVc, more or less built from the box.
I do need to add some red bits over the gun ports though.

Hi Zak,
Are you 'Morphing' into Bill??
Your building Spitfires faster than they did during the war!
Bigkev
Trying to get in touch with my artistic side I think?
More side tracking.
What can this be?

maybe a Mk Vb?
Just because it is goes on water its NOT going to win the maritime comp - at a gues that will be Haddock or as he is called in our house "Haddock the Hero"
Hi Zak,
I think it is a Spitfire Mk. Vb on Floats, possibly 1/72.
I believe they tried out this configuration in an attempt to provide a floatplane fighter. It never became an actual type in production, though many tests were done.
Am I correct, or just warm?
Bigkev
Correct, an awful offering from PM models.
It will not be coming to the club.
