Hello everybody.
This is my very first post, yippee! Just wait till I've learnt to post pictures.
Prepare to be amazed!
Just in case you're confused, a Haddock is a small fish in a very large pond, however, though very small, it's perfectly formed!
I just wonder who you are, too many clues.
Its too easy.
Posting pictures is dead easy as long as you remember to resize them.
Pop into Croppers, I'll have my computer with me and will be able to show you.
Still 1:700 or is it you've grown to 1:350?
Dave
Hi Haddock,
Glad you've been caught in the club net!!
I reckon we are going to hear more from you in the near future.
Welcome to the shoal, swimming together is more fun.
Cheers
Bigkev
Thanks for the welcome gentlemen, I can feel a warm glow spreading around my body.
On a slightly different note. After almost 48 years of happy marriage, I still don't fully understand Mrs Haddock. It's her birthday next month, she was quite rude when I offered to treat her to a brand new Dremel as a birthday gift (in fact her suggestion made my eyes water). I don't understand women at all, It would have gone quite nicely with the airbrush and compressor I got her a few years ago.
A very confused Haddock.
On a more serious note, Hobbycraft in Hull are selling Berna clamps at almost half price in a sale.
I got a couple of sets for myself, there are two clamps in a set. On my next visit to Hull( I go nearly every week to visit a mate) I thought it would be a good idea to call in and see if there were any left, I bought three more sets to bring along to the next meeting for anyone that would like a set. As far as I am aware, they still have some left.
There are two clamps in a set(or packet) they open up to 40mm and are very nice to use , almost like using your fingers.Reduced from £9.45(which seems low) to £5. Zak has already taken one set so there are two sets left which I will bring to the next meeting. meanwhile , if I am in Hull between now and Monday, I'll get some more and run the risk of being well endowed with clamps.
The price will be £5 a set which is what they cost me.
Alternatively, if anyone else is in Hull, do likewise.
Haddock.
Thanks, you Haddock, you - Mrs Zak didn't know!
She will now.
You need to keep it clamped.
Only joking.
Dave
Just in case some of you don't know, here's a picture of a Berna clamp, the black rod is carbon fibre,
the arms are moulded in a "high tec" plastic and the yellow bits are a softish material, probably some sort of eurathane, so they are compliant and grip the plastic without damage.

Well done with the photo.
Nice to see you up and running Mr Haddock
Hi Haddock,
Can I have a set of clamps please. Need a third or fourth hand sometimes!!
Settle up with you at meeting.
Bigkev
With pleasure Kevin, one set left chaps!
Mrs Haddock did a real nice tea last night, individual steak and kidney pie (Morrisons of course), new potatoes, peas, carrots and onion gravy. When it arrived on the plate, my pie was upside down, something that's never happened before. When I asked the question, all I got was a withering look.
Do you think there's some hidden message here?
A slightly perturbed Haddock.
Maybe its something to do with your boat building?
Them clamps just the thing! I'll take that last set if you still have it? If not, I can always pop into Hobbycraft and see if they have any left - I plan on going to hull on Sunday so if you've sold your last set and anybody else wants any, let me know.
Jolly good.
Still got one set left. If you are in Hull can I suggest you get a couple of sets, more if you want to risk it. I could use three sets when clamping up a largish hull. There were three sets left last time I was in Hobbycraft, they're not the sort of thing that lots of people would buy, probably that,s the reason for the low price.I'm sure I've seen them on Little Cars stand at shows for £12 a set but I could be wrong. I won't be in Hull till next Wednesday, if there are any left, I'm going to get another set.
Haddock.
Maybe you are really Jed Clampet and not Haddock?
I suppose you think that' funny!
Hi Zak,
I can just see a remake of 'The Brookland Road Hillbillies!'

Gold, black gold..........................................
and that's just his hands.
I hope your'e not suggesting that I never wash my hands.
If you don't know what a flither is, please feel free to ask.
Just remembered something. Took Mrs Haddock to Harrogate last Saturday( it should have been Leeds but we took a wrong turning ) I treated her to lunch, Greggs baguette each and a bottle of pop to share. As a special treat, we stopped off at Morrisons in York to do our shopping. We arrived home tired but happy. Not being very hungry, Mrs Haddock suggested we had egg and chips for tea. When it arrived on the plate, my egg was covered under a pile of chips. Now that's not the way we do things in this house, the egg should be at one side of the plate, chips at the other so you can dip the end of each chip in the egg.I took some considerable effort to uncover the egg, when I did so, guess what, the egg was upside down.
I'm beginning to feel persecuted.
It would seem that there is a message for you hidden somewhere on your plate? It will just have to be unravelled.
I did tell you that I thought Flithers were a group of women who collected the bait.
I've just noticed this website doesn't know what time it is!
Its all relative in the modelling world.
Probably depends what you and when you are modelling?
