Well, it's here. Elvington prepares to host a model show.
Thanks to Francis for being an integral part of the organisation of the event
More pictures and updates to follow.
I think we all enjoyed the new show, but found the T2 hangar a bit cold at this time of year,
Congratulations go to Jon, Kevin and Adrian for entering the competition and winning prizes. Jon got best in show.
I did take some photos.
The start of the show.

Thanks for taking the pictures and posting them Dave. An enjoyable experience if not rather chilly and a little lacking in illumination.
Well done to Jon and Adrian for the competition, I was well chuffed too.
The stand looked good and we still had some spare space we could have filled. I thought as a quickly brought about show it went remarkably well. A few teething issues and oversights, but in the main a good enjoyable show.
It was great to meet visitors who were interested in the models on display, and the footfall was higher than I expected
Thanks to all, for the good humour and banter throughout the day.
Great results for Adrian and Kevin (nice prize, Kev!) and a really enjoyable show...helped by wearing an extra layer! The club display got plenty of interest, especially (it seemed to me) Keith's small-scale models. The Halifax tour was a great privilege and I was also fortunate to be able to achieve another ambition and try the Dragonfly cockpit for size!

A good day out. It went quicker than I expected. Some interest in the club.
Thanks for the photos Dave.
Missed another good show. The club stand looked great. Well done to all the winners.
From a warm (21) and sunny Torremolinos.

I'm pleased to see that you had a good show yesterday... I'm still recovering from SMW, otherwise I might have brought a couple of models along!
If there is a show at YAM next year, I hope it's not so soon after SMW!

Would be great to have you along Chris. I thought of you yesterday when they were allowing some to sit in the Jaguar cockpit, an aircraft I know you have history with.
In a discussion with a member of YAM staff, I think September is being looked at for 2026, but we'll have to wait and see. If it is it'll certainly be warmer.
A great day, even if it was cool at times, with a chance to talk to modellers both solo and club members. Hopefully off the back of it being rated a success they can attract more clubs and traders.
