Have been trying to sort out something to do on the next playday.
Most of the things I am doing at the moment are painting and this is not good to do on playdays.
Just read an article in the magazine about how Orks dont look after any machinery, so have been in the loft and found this one for them to mess up..Just let Neil try and say I have the wrong colour on this one yoho yoho yoho and also lots of rust to keep Chris happy.
So you can blame David Grummitt and Fantasy Figures International magazine for this one ::) ::) ::) ::)
Have you been on the Rum medicine again..........?

Quote from: MSea on November 03, 2025, 03:42:17 PMVERY
Is that VERY neat and tidy, or just Very Doubtful.......?
I reckon the latter.........Hohoho
What do you think ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Photo of the deck under construction - its nice and tidy at the moment but just you wait :-\ :-\ :-\
First aluminium panels added to the flight deck
It appears the Sea Ork pilots like takeaways............ All that Aluminum on the flight deck.
yum yum yum
More rubbish to come then Martin?
Just had a trip to Mighty Lancer and got some orks, the one with the bow will be converted and turned into Pilot Officer Robinson hohohoho just look at the face , it could not be anybody else ;D ;D ;D ;D Might even rename his plane an "Orkfire" because he loves them so much ::) ::) ::) ::)
Also could not resist the trafic lights, every aircraft carrier needs these to tell the pilot when to go
A little bit of work to convert 2 of the combined trafficlights and walk signs, to walk signs only. Before anybody says its bent, its supposed to be like that, wait till you see what I am going to do to the aircraft :P :P :P :P

Can't wait to see it.
Pilot Officer Robinson now has his body changed at the hip by 90degrees and his legs pushed together - he will now fit inside the plane and sit in his seat :-\ :-\ :-\
Cor Blimey.... I bet that made his eyes water.........
Quote from: Bigkev on November 04, 2025, 08:54:13 PMCor Blimey.... I bet that made his eyes water.........
Don't worry its only Neil yoho yoho yoho
Trial fit with pilot in his seat. no he will not have a full canopy above his head.
Sawn off at the hip. A bit like him in real life!!!
Some small wear and tear to the wing hohohoho. Just waiting for the silicone nuts and bolts to dry and then add them to the patches.
Ork fully inventive!
Thanks - its not what you usually call my models hohoho
Nuts bolts rivets and odds and ends now fastened to the plates on the wing, by the sounds from my tum it must be tea time :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
Riveting stuff......
Ork-estrating a novel diorama!
Fascinating.
Quote from: zak on November 07, 2025, 07:58:13 AMOrk-estrating a novel diorama!
Don't encourage him, he'll only get 'carried' away.
More work on the deck
Nice to see more Yum, Yum has been going on.
A delight awaits us all.
The 2 orks as made and final photo as now changed.
One will be the pilot, next one a fire fighter and the last one the bats man with "go" sign. Black undercoat added for the chain mail now what colour cloaks should they have - sunshine yellow or bright pink, I don't think so. 8) 8) 8) 8)
More bits and bobs added to the flight deck
Nice bits and bobs.
This is going to be a large display then Martin?
Looks good so far.
Yes Chris you need size for all the rubbish and broken machinery yoho yoho yoho and a bottle of rum :o :o :o :o
Are you going wooden flight deck or steel?
RUST
More work done on the fireman and goman orks
Impressive stuff.
Very good.
Quote from: MSea on December 05, 2025, 10:47:58 AMMore work done on the fireman and goman orks
Is a huge fly swatter he's waving.
Coat of rust/primer added to he flight deck, when dry and I have had a coffeeeeeeee will add some more areas of different coloured rust and then cover with chipping medium 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
Very bright and very rusty!!!!
Because the hydraulics are bust and not working, the undercarriage has some extra support. Don't think it will add to the speed because of the drag BUT its my plane so will do as I want yoho yoho yoho yoho :P :P :P :P
Preparing fir a bit of rust I see. Bright!
Blast deflector made and fitted - again because the hydraulics have bust, replaced with chunks of wood. Will add some broken hydraulics later.
Behind the deflector looks nice and warm, so will make a bed for one of the orks and maybe a kettle and other bits and bobs :P :P :P :P one job leads to another
The imagination runs riot - again.
Just painting the stripes on the matress..
The nose has now had a new section added, the straps will be fastened down solid when the ctr section is solid.
The matress made with a round edge and the second photo shows the button and sunk sections of the matress and a coat of paint on the finished bed. Next some cotton wool coming out of the 2 holes in the bed and then some grub and muck :D :D :D
Definitely not memory foam!
Looking great Martin.
Quote from: cph64 on December 08, 2025, 05:32:25 PMDefinitely not memory foam!
Martin doesn't have any 'Memory' foam, or memory normally.......... ;D ;D ;D
A coat of yellow on the deckand green on the walkway.
When dry will remove most of the paint and add more rust, decals and rubbish also a top quality neat and tidy plane yoho yoho yoho yoho ::) ::) ::) ::)
It's still quite bright.
First of many many many hours spent on adding rust, yes I am asking myself why did I put so many rivets/bolts and bits of metal on the deck.
JUst think a flat deck and one coat of spray colour and it would be done and finished :'( :'( :'( :'(
How many rivets do you have? I can't be bothered to count 'em.
Lots more than I should have put on yoho yoho yoho
Look out those rivet counters........
Coat of rust primer added to the plane. Next lots more different colours of rust they hairspray and top colour for the plane.
Looks very orange.
It's for the Trump Ork!!
Lots of different rust tones added to both side, next its the hairspray, but NO comb yoho yoho yoho
Quote from: MSea on December 12, 2025, 03:47:40 PMLots of different rust tones added to both side, next its the hairspray, but NO comb yoho yoho yoho
Is that the correct camouflage for an Ork aircraft?

Don't worry Neil only knows Spitfires, so he won't be bending your ear Martin.
But I reckon the brown colour means you won't see all that corosion....... ;) ;) ;)

I need some sunglasses!
A top coat of aluminium - looks almost like a plane --but give me time yoho yoho yoho :P :P :P :P
Definitely a 'distressed' looking aeroplane.
I don't think you have a future in aircraft restoration.........hahaha ;) ;)
Just wait till I have finished it - you will say I have a future in something, but not sure what yoho yoho yoho
I would say you have a future in Stanley Royd (don't know the East Yorkshire rquivalent!!!).
No Chris think you mean Bedlam or as I call it the IWM - yoho yoho yoho
Next some more cheap orks to fill in the flight deck and walkway, as well as kip on the matress. Also some more work done on the rust on the plane.
That's a bit shiny for you!!!
Looking suitably distressed.
Quote from: zak on December 15, 2025, 11:46:00 AMThat's a bit shiny for you!!!
Decals and a coat of smoke should dull it down, but for now more rust ::) ::) ::)
Is Santa bringing you a new tin of rust?
Yes a 5L can yoho yoho yoho
Only 5L?
