Also stared this last playday. I finally got around to posting a photo of progress.

It's taken a while but I've got the fuselage almost fully assembled. The tail section has required a bit of bending to fit the rest. Quite a bit of filling is required. It also does not help when I put mounting holes for the external fuel tanks in the wrong place - doh!

A type of masking putty  - called 'silly putty'. Bought it off ebay some years ago.

Black camouflage bits added with the AK pens (they work a treat).
Now onto the decals.

They're great to use Kev, the pressure you apply dictates the width and coverage, as Bob and I discussed.

Impressive. I like the toasting fork antennae at the front, I've never seen anything like that on a helicopter before.
