Hi All,
My Sea King has taken the back seat this week or so, whilst I lent a hand to my wife Christine.
As a member of Yorkshire Wolds Railway, we were asked by Matthew, one of the Directors and also Driffield Town Clerk if we could do a book scene depicting 'The Railway Children' which is to form a future shop participation within Driffield during the summer holidays.
The Book was supplied as a 3D printed item, The base was also 3D printed, drawn and designed by our own Andy.
Anyway onto the task part of which I was able to utilize some modelling techniques to help create some scenery to go along with the book.
Chris, painted the figures, the writing, pictures. I helped creating a tunnel face from Milliput, a raised railway track from Balsa, plasticard sleepers, and rails. I adapted some toy Thomas the Tank Engine rolling stock to represent the engine and carriages to go on the rails.
Finally I created a railway station sign 'Fimber Halt' from Plasticard and Brass rod, and a printed name from the computer.
As members of Yorkshire Wolds Railway, we added a distinct 'nod' to them adding thier logo's and even a Train Ticket numbered 0200 as a reference to 200 years of the Railways in Britain.
Hope you like what she created and my humble additions.
Some Pictures follow:-
