I must stop buying old kits, I am generally disappointed when they are compared to modern offerings, no matter how cheap.
I can't resist a bargain and if I find a model with no bids I will put a low bid on it, just to see, yes, you guessed right, I win them on EBay.
So, here it is a Monogram Junkers JU-87 D-1 in 1:48 scale, bargain, well, riased panel lines and not a lot else really.
Well I will give it a go.
From 1968 possibly a reissue.
I haven't considered the state of the decals yet!

I have given the decals a coat of decal film and they seem ok, if a little thick, at least they are not breaking up.

The kit certainly lacks detail.
Well here it is warts and all, simply painted and the original decals added, finished with a coat of matt varnish.
No weathering or detailing, Straight out of the box.
I suppose, not bad for such an old kit.
The canopy would not fit.
It is a completely different beast to the B version, larger engine and updates to armour, cockpit and canopy, able to carry a larger bomb load.

Onwards and upwards , in scale that is.
My next Stuka will be in 1:32 scale. I believe the kit I have has already been mentioned on the website by a past member. The less said the better.

The only other 1/32 Stuka's I can think of are the Hasegawa and 21st Century Models.
It can't be the Airfix one as that is to 1/24th.
You'll have to surprise us all..... ::) ::) ::)
Great finish, well done. I like the sleaker look of the Ds and Gs to the earlier models and if you look at the twin tailplane prototype you can really see how far the design progressed.

I did have one a few years ago, but sold it. If I remember correctly the figures were really good.
Also I think Wayne built one and brought it to a meeting a few years back, and his turned out quite nicely.
Be interesting to see how your talents can make this into a stunner.
