Hi All,
Next project will be this Academy PBY-5A Catalina, in the markings of the Argentinian Navy.
Christine wanted something a bit more colourful for the next model, so I've chosen this from the stash as I had already got some different decals and some aftermarket bits and bobs.
Model will be mainly Silver overall, with Yellow Wing tops, and Red nose/tail sections.
This is the start point,
Very nice, you do like to chop and change your scales.
I still remember the Greenpeace Catalina parked up a Duxford, leaking oil everywhere.
I remember the Oil too.........
I think it was actually at Cosford, and it was a Danish marked aircraft. Grey and Dayglo Orange if my memory serves me right..........

No, it was definitely at Duxford, it had railing around it and a bloke with a yardbrush trying to clean up the oil, Sandra was with me.

Ah,
That explains it, I am thinking about the the time we stopped off at Cosford with Adrian and Roger. That one had oil drip trays in place.
Should be colourful Kevin.
This aircraft has always fascinated me - almost as weird as some of the German stuff! Looking forward to seeing it come together and more so the finished article.
Looking forward to seeing how this compares to the old Airfix kit for which I still have the depth charges in one of my spares boxes. But with all the aftermarket stuff and your skill no doubt it will be streets ahead.
