Title: Removing scratches in plastic
Post by: zak on January 04, 2025, 03:19:46 PM
I came across this product the other day, I was looking at a guy preparing car windscreens and he was using Novus 2 scratch remover. It seemed to work really well and so I bought some.
In fact it came as a pack of three:
Novus 1 Plastic polish
Novus 2 Fine Scratch Remover
Novus 3 Heavy Scratch Remover.

The guy also seemed to indicate that it gave some protection from fogging.
Although he did not recommend superglue for windscreens or clear parts.
He used a product from EMA, for sticking the windscreens in - I may have to investigate this later.

So here is my first effort
Windscreen before
Windscreen polished with Novus 2
Windscreen after applying the Novus 1.
On the video clip I saw the guy did not use the Novus 1.
You can definitely see an improvement.

I know some of you dip in clear and use WS40 and some furniture polish.

Just thought I would share this with you.

The windscreen may appear at a later date, it is part of an ESCI 1/24 Range Rover bought at the same time as the Land Rover at the Lincoln Show maybe 3 years ago.
