Title: Christmas Grogu
Post by: cph64 on November 12, 2024, 12:29:47 PM
Whilst at the Keighley Model Show Tracy noticed a stand with a Christmas Grogu on it (for the uninitiated Grogu is a charachter from the Star Wars Mandalorian series and ISN'T baby Yoda as sometimes described). I asked one of the guys where he'd got it from as Tracy thought they'd make good Christmas presents and he said it was a 3D printed file. One of our nephews has a 3D printer so we asked him to source the file. Sadly it wasn't cheap but he found another at 66p, we're talkng Yorkshireman here lol!!, the only difference being Grogu isn't carrying a present. After scaling up to around 6 inches the resulting figures were washed and then primed with the usual Halfords primer followed firstly with artist's acrylic white then leftover Humbrol red from the Red Pelicans build and finally Citadel Orruk Flesh green, sourced with the help of the guys at Mighty Lancer. Eyes were painted Tamiya Satin black. After touch ups snow was added to the base followed by Humbrol Satin varnish to seal everything in. All now ready to be wrapped up as Christmas surprises!!
