Title: Planned Forum Upgrade
Post by: Admin on August 06, 2024, 09:53:58 AM
The hosting platform is now charging me an additional ?10 per month to support the older version of PHP that the forum currently uses.  I haven't upgraded the Forum for a while now but it's now time so I don't need to use an old version of PHP.

As soon as I get some time to do this I will start the upgrade.  The Forum will be down for a few hours while I do this - apologies in advance for any inconvenience this will cause.

I will try and give the users some more notice closer to the time when I do the upgrade but this will depend upon my free time from work etc.

Please bear with me on this.

Regards

Mike

I have completed the upgrade to the latest version of the Forum code.

Current known issue is that the preview banner isn't working as the code isn't compatible with the new Forum version - will need to work on this one.  Typical software issues!!

Apologies for this missing feature but it is still recommended to be on this newer version.

I will monitor the Forum for a few days top see how everyone gets on.

People can post issues in this topic.

Regards

Mike
