Started at the playday yesterday - got a little bit done. Will post more pictures as the build progresses.
-
After the playday having done a bit of preliminary work the basic fuselage is assembled. Going together very well. Almost zero flash on the parts - nicely moulded. I expect the rest to go together well even with all the parts to assemble.
-
It's looking more like an Osprey with the wing section now added. All the detail work, engines and undercarriage to add.
-
Main assemblies ready for painting. Starting to mask up the glazing.
Some progress at last.
-
Coming along nicely Chris.

Main assemblies now painted with the main colours. Next up is some varnish before adding the decals.
The green is mr hobby 340. Detail work also yet to do.

Coming along nicely.

Hi Chris,
Decidedly very 'Insect Like' in its appearance.

Ready for decals. I used Kevin's idea of painting the masked off areas with the surrounding colour so that it prevents colour leakage with the new colour. Thanks Kevin!
-
I do the same, when I remember!
-
Looks nice Chris.

Looking good Chris

Thanks. There are a lot of decals to go on. Hopefully it will be finished for the club meeting.
-
Most of the decals on. A few more to go. It has taken longer than I expected to put the decals on - don't want to rush it.
-
Looking good Chris,
Certainly an unusual looking Osprey!
Look forward to seeing it at the next club meeting.
Cheers,

I should have it finished by then.
-
Here it is complete. Decals placed and varnished on top.
Overall it was a good kit to go together; very little sanding. The decals went on a treat.
-
Very mantis like.
-
Interesting subject, I'd like to see one in flight.
Haddock.

Haddock.
See them quite often around Driffield.
They sure look like 'War of the Worlds' stuff when you see them appear over the tree tops.
And they are quite noisy too.
Nice work Chris, a real nice paint job.
