If you add 100 years to 1952 it was the year you where born ???
-
You are nearly right, only 100 years out.
Thanks Martin.
-
You mean you were born in 1752?.....................................
Blooming Heck! you're wearing very well aren't you.
Bigkev
-
Even heartier thanks Kevin.
I know it ended with 52.
-
NOW I've GOT IT, you were born in 1952.
-
Thanks Mr Beesting, yes, 1952.
Assembly was straight forward, parts need some cleaning up required
The sub- assemblies are not glued, just test fitted at this stage.
Once again the question of scale raises its head.
The figure is 1/32, as is the car, I will endeavour to discover which, if any is correct.

Sorry Zak I am confused -- is this you or the model ??????????????????
-
Undercoated last night some painting and assembly today.
It was all undercoated grey and then white on the body as it is to be yellow.
As to scale, the man is over scale and the car under, so that's that then.
-
What's with the bald tyres then?
-
Don't know, it is what was in the kit.

am I correct in saying that the chrome work on this model has to be painted on.....I didn`t see any chrome frames in the poly bag picture!
-
Yes, no chrome. so it will have to be paint as my bare metal chrome seems to have gone off, it will no longer come off its backing.
I shall be using some chrome paint I picked up, its called Plasti-Kote Projekt paint and is a fast dry enamel.
-
Aaahh! Thanks for that, it seems to do just the job.
-
Chrome work painted.
-
Very neat. Is that masked then painted or painted then stuck in place?
Haddock.
-
It was masked and then some hand painting as well.
That's about it I think I may run some thin black round the doors and panel lines.
-
Just spotted the finger mark on the rear mudguard, it has now been removed, these photos are cruel.
-
Flippin' 'eck, just realized, in the time it's taken you to build this, I've managed to fit six pairs of signal halyards and then mark out and drill one hundred and forty-four 0.3mm holes.
Haddock.
-
Quick work then - for you I mean!
This is only a small kit though and I am only building it because it was a present for my birthday.
Why do family buy kits for Christmas and birthdays?
Maybe I should raise this under General discussions?
I now have last years Christmas present to build.
-
Looking good`.

Hi Zak,
Very neat job there.
However, may I suggest that you do not take up a life of criminality, and stick to modelling instead.
Otherwise future kits may be being made from the inside of a cell. (leaving your calling card is not a good idea - read thumbprint)
