I'll ask Tracy if she can crochet one. She's made just about everything else whilst on furlough!!!

Seafoxes were in service until 1943 so it depends on the time frame for the model. Another great model.

Can you make a diorama to show it flying with the zombie getting pushed out? Now there's a cheery thought!!

Hi Francis, I've also built the Special Hobby kit of this aircraft but their 1/72 version. This came with etch brass and film for the instruments and I had some interesting times putting it together. Painted in RLM 02, polished metal and natural steel as when it was at the Heinkel factory August-September 1939. No doubt this is the scheme you'll have? Looking forward to seeing the finished article.

Coming along nicely. It's the 'What's inside your head' part that worries me, lol!!!

Either way it will be an interesting addition.

If Roden aircraft kits are anything like their vehicles then you're in for some fun/challenges.
Latest additions to my stash are the Fa 225, a DFS glider with rotor instead of wings which was used operationally. Then two 'What-if's' The Boulton Paul P.100 which I've been after for a while and finally tracked down and lastly the EMW A9. This was a planned manned V2  to use against Continental America. I'm considering building the A10 initial stage but that's another story (perhaps!!!!)

I chose to build the bomber with the long range fuel tank and the smaller bomb load. The instructions for fitting the tank tell you to fit it one way but on reflection it is easier to fit it the other way around. Another snag which will be encountered is when you come to fit the beam machine guns. There is not a lot of wiggle room when you try to get them through the holes without snagging on the rear gunners seat. I opened the holes out a little bit more and turned the guns on their side as I 'gently' coaxed them into place. I fitted them after painting so as not to break them off whilst masking and painting.
One item missing from the kit is the towel rail aerial underneath, this is at odds with the markings for KG77. The instructions show both aircraft with the DF loop above the cockpit but when KG77 was in France at the time frame given the photos I've sourced showed that their aircraft didn't have the loop, just the rail. So I'll have to make one.

Last night we watched a repeat of the classic Dad's Army series. Whilst watching it struck me how so much Captain Mainwaring reminded me of Neil with his mannerisms and speech. Has anybody else noticed this?

This is the only photo I have of the Allies when they met up to celebrate VE Day.
