                  Here's a picture of progress to date. Have a look at the after-most set of davits, the ones with the boats  covered in dirty canvas beneath. Looking at the images I can find on the net, it's doubtful whether they actually existed, they are there on some pics but not on others although the reproduction is very poor. They are provided in the kit but the davits themselves and their mountings were atrocious so I scratch built the lot, the falls are etched brass. I'm reasonably happy with the result.
         Now I'm worried. If you study the picture you'll notice that the davits severely restrict the movement of the gun turret ( Y turret ) to the point where it would be impossible for that turret to fire a proper broadside. Is this the result of poor Russian design, poor research on the part of Zvezda or just bum modelling. Who knows, and more to the point, who actually cares?. Do I really need to slash my wrists?.

Looks like severely restricted rotation.
I should wash your hands of it, not slash your wrists.
