Here are photos of the box art and the contents before and after unpacking.
The moulding looks good and the parts are well packed and presented.
This is essentially a Mercedes.
I thought it would fit on Coble Landing as some posh person visiting the seaside, or the works manager perhaps.
-
Don't like the look of the bloke with the hat on, looks a bit suspicious to me, could be a foreign spy.
Haddock.
-
If he is posh or a foreign spy is his name ZAK ????????
-
He looks a bit like someone who'd sit at the back in a Model Club!!!
Are you going to print your own number plates or do you have some in the spares box? Did Bridlington, if you're setting it (fictitiously) there have it's own registration code, as in HE for Barnsley?
-
Brid used to have many moons ago WF and BT I believe.

Thanks for the local knowledge Chris.

Hi Chris,
I'm always astounded by the depth of knowledge amongst our members.
Do you know the six numbers on Saturday???
I want to be able to model, without the interference of work!
Hopefully,
Bigkev
-
Whose telephone number do you want?
And fo some further useless information; Hull had AT and KH.
-
Just started this, nice detail, here is a start on the engine, the first 10 parts stuck together.
-
I remembered after that Scarborough was/is AT. some would put ** before that!!! Sorry Kev can't do the numbers for you, the Reg thing was a blast from my youth when there were fewer cars. And no Martin they didn't have red flags!!!
-
Still working on the engine, lots of small bits to add.
-
Nice detail. I'm sure it will be upto your usual standard.
-
Hi Chris don't tell Zak but I think he improves with each model - well the model does not sure about him -- but we will keep that just between us - hohohohoho

Love it when you live so near to the edge

Nice one! Kev.
-
Its the ONLY way to live.
-
I'm interested to see how this model turns out. I have been tempted to do one of the Miniart vehicle and figure sets. Unfortunately they are not in 1/48 to go with the Ju52 that I want to add to the BoB Movie set.
Was it an internet buy?
-
YES, from Model Hobbies, I bought a tram as well.
-
It seems like an age since I did any modelling.
Here is the gearbox, chassis and gearbox under construction.
-
Hi Zak,
Have you been taking a 'staycation?'
Nice to see you back, showing us how to make models, quickly.
Cheers,
Bigkev

We have been visited by various family members and so I had to move a lot of my stuff so they could stay.
-
More progress, its a nice kit, but lots of very small parts.
-
Always seems a shame to cover up stuff like this.
Haddock.

Yes, but we know its there!
The exhaust is made up of 9 pieces, usually it is a couple, here it is just to show you, some etched brass as well.
The moulding is great, but it seems that they are trying to make the model be as many pieces as possible.
The photos show:
The parts.
Parts assembled.
Parts on the car
-
Plenty of good detail there Dave.
-
Looking good, but don't you just love kits where they break items down to multiple parts when two would suffice!!!!!?
-
Chassis looks good Dave
Well done.
Andy.
-
This is the most filling I have done for some time, lots of ejector pins and marks to sort out.
They will not be seen once the model is completed.
-
Car in the paint shop.
-
Slow progress, as I attempt to be tidier?

If you find the secret can you let me know.
Haddock.
-
Tidier - don't understand that concept !!!!!!!

Tidier - don't understand that concept !!!!!!!
Funny, I try but am easily side tracked, not sure I understand the concept either, it eats into modelling time.
-
Even the wheels have multiple parts.
The progress continues.
-
It's going to look great when finished.
I know what you mean trying to be tidy - it's very difficult.
-
It's coming along nicely, will it be just out of the showroom or dirtied up a bit? I also don't understand the concept of tidy when modelling!!!
-
Very clean build.
Show room condition.
Andy.
-
This does feel a slow build, but I am making progress, in between pea picking and harvesting potatoes, picking courgettes and French beans as well as cabbage and cauliflowers.
-
Like that figure too. could be Indiana Jones...
Andy.
-
No Andy its "Zak Smith" the intrepid explorer.
-
Almost finished, a few bits to tidy up, headlight lenses to add and the figures to paint.
-
Excellent model Dave. And the figure adds to it.
-
Excellent again
-
Finished - I just knocked it over and lost the Mercedes sign from the front, I can't find it.
Not really a very nice place for Flash Harry and his car.
-
He'd better watch out for the return of the tractor.

I think he may need the tractor to get out of the mud!
