Title: What did you buy at the show?
Post by: zak on September 05, 2017, 10:59:36 AM
Here is the one and only purchase from the show.
Wow, a lot of stuff in the box.
Expensive yes but essentially three and a bit kits in one box.

Bought this at the show, I know it's a floaty thing but it really caught my eye.

Hi,
My confessions are:-
Warpaint book on the Junkers JU-52 from Avid Reader
Airfix Dakota 1/72 from under the Tornado SIG table
That's a weight off my mind, confession is good for the soul they say..............

Hi Bigkev, Not to mention Haddock getting excited too!! Yes it was Halifax modellers world, thought I recognised him. I don't think haddock would approve of the rigging that comes with it though, it looks a bit thick.

Just 2 history books from Richard Leach.
Maybe I could do a powerpoint about the "First Afghan War" that should send you all to sleep

I picked up a Dragon 1/700 "Sink the Bismark" set from the charity room (more floaty things!!) which contains a Bismark battleship and a Swordfish torpedo plane and from Little Cars I got a couple of those trigger clamps, a bottle of Gator glue (thin) and some sanding sticks.  Very restrained I thought.

Having opened the kit, although there is a full hull in the instructions, the bottom is not in the kit so it looks like it will be a water line kit.  Maybe Mr Haddock's way of forcing me to make some sea to put it on - or under if I choose to model it on the 28 May 1941.
