Title: Scale ModelWorld Telford November 2023
Post by: zak on November 13, 2023, 03:23:49 PM
Here is our table at the show.
Thanks must go to Kevin (and Chris), Adrian for help manning the table, and allowing me some time off.
I really enjoyed the weekend and it was nice to catch up with friends from the past. Many thanks to Francis for the humour and putting up with me.

Trevor was there manning the Buccaneer Sig too.
Francis had the New Zealand SIG.

A few more pictures.
York had a table next to me, with these stunning dioramas in 1:43 Scale. Thanks for the chat and tips Julian.
There was a Lancaster dropping a bouncing bomb - impressive.
A nice steam punk airship.
A few views of the hall.

Hi Zak,
Thanks for sharing the pictures with us. Thank you for your humour and kind comments made to Chris and I on hearing my issues with my car.
Luckily all turned out well, just a case of operator error.
We had a good display despite being down in members attending. I only spent ?1.00 on a paint mixing palette, I must have been unwell too.
I'm looking forward to going next year for the full weekend.
Nice to see so many people and faces that I haven't seen for a while.
Cheers Kevin

I spent the weekend looking for a 1:35 Tamiya Archer -they were ?49.99, too much for me, came home looked on Mighty Lancer website ?44.99 on the shelf, then -Around ?38 as a Black Friday sale, and them as a club member , couldn't believe the price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why bother with Telford? -well there is another side to the hobby, meeting like minded people, chatting, drinking and general banter!
Not forgetting the abuse and so on!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forgot to say, it was also nice to catch up with ex club members too.
Gerry
Roger
And some current members - Chris W and his wife.
Then there was our honorary members - Chris and Jez!! (less said the better really)
Sorry if I have missed anyone out!

Now to unpack the models and repair any damage.
Perhaps a full report later.

Well, everything unpacked,
Coming out of the show, my balance went and a box dropped about 1foot, unfortunately, the models were resin, so a lot of repair work required on a Land Rover and the Holt Artillery tractor, the shock has loosened the superglue.
The windscreen on the Bugatti.
Not too bad really.

If anyone left a kit behind my stall then contact me and you can retrieve it.
Contact the club and we'll take it from there.

Cheeky monkey! ;D  I actually spent more time on the B&W stand than on Stafford... mind you, I'm more of a country Member these days!

By the way, when is your next Branch meeting?

It was well worth the visit, but the cost are rising exponentially!

Just caught up and had a look at the photos. A good club display with some interesting models! I haven't been to SMW for over 20 years and was working across the weekend this year. Must try harder!

John Adams was there, he lost his voice, maybe talking too much.
