A Christmas Present from the USA
« on: January 21, 2014, 09:00:40 AM »
A present from my son and family.
He bought me this as it represented the typical USA vehicle - his words not mine.
In Utah they all seem to drive huge pick up trucks - a lot of Toyota Tundras.
Here is a Revell" Roth 56 Ford Pick-Up".
It is 1:25 scale, its an old kit with all the associated problems.
The transfers caused a few problems and I did resort to hand painting.
Lots of cutting, filing and filling required.
Once again, we need more people posting on the website.

Hi Zak,
Very Nice and Cool, you can just turn your hand to anything. take your point about posting items, yep we need more. I have an item to post but just getting near to finishing the cockpit, so will have to wait a couple of days.
As to you others out there, please try and put something on the website, its a tool very underused so its up to us members to improve things. If you are unable or unsure how to post contact me on my email, and I'll try to help.

I hope my next is always better

Hi Zak, I would like to say how impressed I am with your ability to turn your hand to anything in the modelling world, nothing seems to faze you. The finish alone would have been enough to put me off. You are a credit to the club, I am envious that I am light years away from producing the quality that you produce on everything you turn to.

Regards Bridlufc

Thanks for the comments. It looks better on the photos than in the flesh.
I think it is chopping and changing that keeps my interest in model making. I am always amazed at the different approach that has to be adopted when building models of different genres.
