A bit like Big Kev, I decided to do something with the less saleable kits.
So here is one from the Don Pryde collection.
Unfortunately the parts had been stuck together with masking tape, many years ago by the look of them.
There are one or two kits like this and maybe I will see what I can do with them as well.
Don liked Jets it would seem, there are a few Phantoms in the collection.
I decided to see if I could do something with this 1:72 kit, possibly build it and then attempt to sell it, all proceeds going to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance of course.
The first job would be to try to remove the glue from the tape.

Various solvents were tried beginning with water, and the gradually getting more and more vicious.
Eventually Mr Hobby thinners worked quite well after several washes and attacking with a cotton bud.
A lot of the interior had been done, so now just a few more parts to deal with.

fujimi kits are generally very nice, i'm sure this one will.

More progress on this.

It looks like cockpits and fuselage sections were Don's thing. My Buccaneer is along the same lines, better check the tape quick!!!

He moved onto Tamiya in his more modern builds, so not a problem there.

Looks ok so far.

I was going to put this on Ebay when I finished it, but Tony has given me other ideas!

Looks good, not seen one with a miss match camouflage, it’s different.

I just used the kit instructions.

Me neither Bob. Is it a European finish? Still looks good though.
