Thanks for giving me a little kick up the proverbial.
I've returned to the VIIID and started to apply camouflage. At the moment I'm not totally happy with the paint job, but it gives you and idea of what I'm trying to achieve.
I have added camouflage striping to the hull, more concentrated around the centre and conning tower, but with a little disruptive camouflage to the bow and stern area.
Next job will be tidy up the paint job, to make it more consistent overall, and will also add some washes and filters later on in the build to make it more realistic.
The hull below waterline will be painted Rubber Black, and the deck RLM 74 Grungrau, then washed and weathered.
Anyway a few pictures after tonight's return to the spray booth follow...
