Started this while waiting for paint and glue to dry on the other models in progress.
This is one of the original flying bananas produced by Piasecki - a company eventually swallowed up by Boeing.
This is a new kit by LF Models. Very little flash so should not be too onerous to out together.
-
Nice, always liked the early helicopters.
-
Looks interesting.
Haddock.

As I said at

Christmas - but I won't tell you which one.
-
Cockpit assembly almost complete. A complicated structure.
-
Nice detail with the seat belts.
-
Yes excellent work on them Chris - if you put padding round the outside it could look like my cell - hohohoh

The walls would have to be very thick though.
Do they do straightjackets in your size?
-
Yes and yes to your 2 questions ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
Straitjacket in Hawwaiian shirt patterns no doubt.
-
Correct ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Designer straightjackets, what ever next......
Ooooh, it's for Martin, it could be anything...........

Trying to mount the cockpit assembly became a bit of a challenge. There were no location pins/holes. Eventually I found two mounting holes in the front glazing. So no I've glued the glazing to the cockpit assembly. It will be interesting mounting the whole lot into the fuselage. I think slowly would be best.
-
Good luck!
-
Hmm, looks like I'm not the only one hitting snags at the moment. Ah, the joys of modelling!!!!
-
At last I've got the fuselage halves together. What a pig! In doing so the transparencies popped out. More work to do.
-
The joys of making models Chris yohoho ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
Some progress at lasr. Managed to keep the fuselage halves together with the glazing in place. Other bits added.
-
Progress - even kept the windows in - yohohoho
-
I thought I was the only one who built 'labours of love' lol!!!! Keep at it you're doing fine.
-
Almost ready for primer and the glazing is still in!
-
Patience Grasshopper, patience. Lol!!!
-
Now painted and awaiting decals.
-
Nice blue!!
-
Getting there!
-
Decals on. They are not quite as thin as some decals. They had to be trimmed close to the actual printing - they were not printed as separate items.
-
The joy of decals, its always a fight - well usually for me anyway.
-
Finished at last. This one has been a bit of a trial.
-
Trial maybe but excellent definitely
-
Great build Chris, well done.
