Coat of gel now added top the water ( gives it depth and a bit of gloss ) its still wet near the boats waterline , thats why its white, will go clear as it dries.
Next job - on with the figures SORRY Howard - I do try, but you have seen the results, in my defence its a hobby for FUN and relaxation  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Yes got the idea from small ports in USA - when the blocks get damged they just pull them up and replace with another log

Two boats fastened in place when dry and solid will add some more paste to the waterline , to make the boats sit in the water not sit on top of it.

Have put some green oil paint along the waterline and was about to mark the position of the 2 boats and add some Gel between the boats and dock ( the area I would not be able to get after boats fitted) THEN  LOOKED and thought what a clown.
Have not put any form of protection against the dock wall - so looked for old tyres but had none, so have decided to do what I have seen in some small ports in the north of the USA - wood beams hung from the top of the dock by rope.

Have you just rediscovered this?
No Zak you know me flutter here flutter there - when I stop enjoying doing a model, just move on and then come back to it when the mood takes me  :P :P :P :P :P
Remember its for FUN not to have lots of finished models that you don't know what to do with. So make diaramas as they take a lot more time to do compaired to just making a plane or tank or ship  ::) ::) ::)
