Title: Light Tank
Post by: Bob C on November 16, 2021, 10:19:36 AM
Started this a couple of days ago. It's a 1/35 scale British light tank mark VI B, by a firm called Vulcan,it was used early in WWII, once again itt's one of them kits that have to many parts, why do in two when you can have ten. hopefully it will be ready for the next club night. As you can see you even get a free cutting mat.

Looks nice, bet it was a poor performer in real life.

Bet it would run away from a Tiger or a T34 - but it was what it was and did the job it was made for - I think

What camouflage scheme are you going for Bob?

It’s going to be 1940 two shades of green as used by the BEF. In real life it was meant to be used for recce work but in the withdrawal to the channel it was used for everything.

If you remember my build of the 1/76 Airfix kit I used Vallejo Bronze Green Primer as it's a match.

Suspension and tracks done, not so good or easy everything is tiny, however here's the build so far.

Hi Chris,
I spotted that too....
I think Bob's one is going to be a Coastal Command machine.
Better get my one finished.

This is one of those kits that are over engineered, however the end is in sight. Hopefully it will be ready for the next club night.
