Box from Model Hobbies just arrived - excellent cost and delivery time, so will definitely use them again.
This figure is a Master Box 1/24 scale, and is part of a set of 6 kits that can be placed together to form a bar scene like the bar in the first Star Wars film.
This will NOT be done like that but will be placed in a situation with scratch built damaged road blocks for him to be peering round.

With or without zombies?

I have used Model Hobbies and also Creative Models, both seem pretty good.
-
Sorry Chris NO ZOMBIES in this model just the one figure and groundwork.
-
I bet there will be some rubbish.
-
Is that a comment on my modelling skills - hohohohoho - no rubbish but some graffiti on the blocks.
-
Will it be a roadblock at Leicester?
-

I wouldn't expect anything less.

Road block cut to size, second photo shows damage to blocks and then each one cut in half, third photo shows glued together again with some plastic mesh inserted into the middle. When dry and solid will coat with vallejo rough grey pumice and then paint - will also RUST the wires in the center of the blocks.
-
Nice bit of prestressed concrete there.
-
Thank you Zak.
Legs, body and gun cleaned up and put together.
-
Base made from a section of MDF and then a section of foam added to this.
The foam has had cracks cut into it and then covered with Vallejo black lava. Will let it dry for 24 hours and then paint with different grey's.
-
Looking good Martin.
-
Thanks Chris
-
This is right up my street.
Nice one Martin.
Andy.
-
Glad you like it Andy.
Some texture added to the blocks with Vallejo rough grey pumice. When dry will do the bottom of the blocks and then add some paint and rust the wires.
-
The zombies have got my brain - forgot to attach the photo
-
Hi Msea,
Love the attention to detail.
Don't worry about the Zombies having your brain, they will give it back when they find it is of no use to them..... Ho,ho,ho,ho
Cheers,
Bigkev

You can be so cruel Kevin, but always truthful - hohohohoho
-
When I opened this page I thought I'd mistakenly opened up something from Celebrity Master Chef!
-
Blocks finished with the paste and now drying, when dry will paint them and add the graffiti.
The base has now had coats of dark and light grey added wet on wet.

Hi Msea,
That road surface looks real, in fact it looks so real, it could be 'somewhere' in the East Riding of Yorkshire, the current status of road surfaces that I drive over in places.

Nah, it's looks like Tracy's attempts at Yorkshire puddings when we first got married!!!!!

Hope she is not reading this.

I am just looking for a suitable plastic shape to make a drone from, this will be as a shot down drone to add something to the floor space round the blocks.
Was going to call it "Zak Mark3 Drone" but have now decided to call it "Bill the Bog Roll Bandit" to remind us all of the last few months - hohohohoho
-
Placed a white stripe across the road and some grey primer on the blocks.
Still looking for a good plastic shape as a base for a scratch built drone.
-
Shape for drone chosen and then the inside filled with paper and glue, to give a larger gluing area also a section of thin acrylic cut to bend and fasten onto the bottom to fill the end hole.
-
My boggling is mind already.
-
Where do these ideas come from, but it’s looking good.
-
Canards, probe and engine nozzle added to the basic shape
-
A mind boggling drone no less.
-
Thank you all for the comments.
A dry run with the figure, blocks and drone in position.
-
He's lost his head, or the plot!
-
Bit like me then !!!!!!
-
A start made on the graffiti on the back of the blocks.
-
More colour added to the graffiti.
-
Wow! Banksy watch out.
Very well executed.
-
It is a Banksy - well my copy of it at least.
-
Well what's the story of this Banksy then Martin?
-
Chris a RAT is an anagram of ART think that's why he uses them a lot.
The rat with a toxic barrel spilling out the content , means that toxic materials are all around us, but that's only my view on it - so what is yours.
-
I'll have to work on that one.
-
A bit like 'Balloon' by Ramases which tells the Earth "don't burst your bubble". I'll leave you to work that one out. My but we're getting philosophical!!!
-
This is all far too deep for a bunch of "old men" who stick bits of plastic together.

I agree - it was just something to take the blank wall away to me - but I am a philistine !!!!!!!
-
Funny, I thought you were Primitive Methodist?
-
Definitely a philistine - in all things.
Lifting eyes now added to the top of the blocks.
Second photo shows the start of a light operated phone - so he can play at ET and phone home !!!!!!
-
Will the phone have a picture on it?
-
Sorry Chris NO --- just knobs and dials.
-
Arms fitted to the figure and some decals on the drone.
-
Coming along nicely.
-

Droning on again, well I never.
-
And into the 22nd century we go........
I really like the build.
Though athletic, I cannot see our 'Andy' as a Galactic Stormtrooper, he's too nice.....
Cheers,
Bigkev
-
Bit more work done on the telephone/radio.
-
A chain added to one of the blocks and some rust marks added to the concrete.
-
It's coming along nicely.
-
Andy is now armed

Drone and phone/radio added to the base.
-
Has that Drone got a dress making pin attached?
If so, does Joyce (She who must be obeyed) know?
Nice Diorama, looking forward seeing 'Andy' painted up and in situ.
Cheers,
Bigkev
-
Sorry Kevin it was part of a pen, the bit that clips it to your shirt.
Some ammunition or food containers under construction, to add to the base.

Hi Msea,
No wonder I got it wrong.
Being like 'Rambo' I didn't realise that items were available to affix to your shirt.
Now, where is that Bandanna that I put somewhere?
I can envisage a future Msea caption now,......,
Oh, 'the crosses we have to bear' as a committee member.
Think there might be some 'incoming' now.
Cheers,
Bigkev
-
No incoming Kevin you know I am a reformed character - hohohohoh - and if you believe that !!!!!!!
-

Not a hope!
-
Diorama looking good Martin. A reformed character?
-

Do you believe it Chris ?????????
-

In your dreams.
Mighty Lancer shop now more open, you can go in and look around.
-
Nice to know.
Thanks, Zak
-
Fascinating.....absolutely Fascinating!
-
Andy now has had some black oil pin wash and fitted to the base.
Also some robot/human war posters added to the walls to put him into a situation, so he has a back story.
-
A nice bit of sci-fi and no zombies in sight (as yet...................).
-
You are correct Zak no zombies - he is fighting robots ( have a look at the posters on the wall )
-

Unable to read the poster, due to resizing I guess.
-
Sorry Zak - have taken photos of the individual posters so you can see them.
In order they are first the robots asking to have chains removed - second the robots deciding to go on strike - third the robots starting a revolution against the humans - and last the robots saying kill all humans.
So don't annoy your computer, toaster or kettle they might gang up on you - yes I need to get out more before you say it.
-
How sad, Remember the 3 Laws of Robotics though.
-
They have removed the law so they can harm humans - quick bit of re programming did the trick.
If not it would be a very one sided war !!!!!
-
Excellent Martin especially the posters.
-
Great stuff Msea,
Not lost any of your flair or imagination.
Super...
Bigkev
-
Lost for words again!
-
Final couple of photos of Andy before he goes to the big box in the garage.
-
Excellent Martin. Is this one in for the virtual show before you put it away?
-
Yes Chris will put it on line as if Bob would have it on the table it would have been at the show. Must get it in before Zak fills up the string with his 859 models made in the last few weeks - hohohoho

Another great model, well done.
-
Magic again!
-
Msea,
You are now recognised as a 'Wizard', not a sane one one, but a probable 'insane wizard'
Could this be a badge of honour??
Bigkev
-
I concur!
-
It's really good! Well done
-
Keep up with the sci-fi Martin.
Excellent.
Andy.
