Some more info chaps. I f you need to know more about the ship, can I suggest you google USS FORT WORTH LCS-3. There's far more information on Wikipedia than I'm prepared to type, being a lazy article.
As for the kit. According to the box, there 530+ parts. I've done a quick count. There are 230 plastic part numbers, some of which will be multiple parts with the same number. I've high-lighted all the etched parts on the instructions in green, I've counted 96 green blobs, this doesn't include the tie-downs on the flight deck, there are 120 of the flippin' things.
You can model the hangar door open or closed and the ramp on the stern open or closed with one of the RIB's on its launch cradle or in the water (diorama options). There is also a large access door on the port quarter that can be open or closed.
The bridge windows are moulded "open" and there is quite a bit of internal detail to add, seats and consoles and so on.
There are four helicopters, two large ones and two small ones, the small ones are the remote controlled ones if you read the blurb on Wikipedia. There are also two large RIB's and two small ones.
For my money, at thirty quid, that's a lot of bash for your buck, but a quick build, you have to be joking.
Haddock.
The stand will have to go, that will save some work!!
