A general heading for all sorts, but mainly post Second World War vehicles. I may be led astray of course.
I don't seem to have posted for a while, so here are a couple.
Italeri Chaffee
Revell( actually and old Monogram- came with the Jeep) M24 tactical Truck.
-
Looking great - YOU led astray - jumping onto a different type/style/topic of models well I have never seen that - hohohohhoho
-
They look good Zak.

Hi Zak,
Agree with Bob, they do look good.
Another inspired set of models yet to come........?
Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks all for the comments, I have been really impressed with Bob's photos, very atmospheric indeed. I have looked for photos of Chaffe Tanks in Korea for inspiration, most are black and white and many show snow scenes.
Here my Chaffee, no snow just black and white.
-
Like Bobs photos it gives atmosphere to the model and I think takes it to another level :) :)
-
Very nice Dave. It seems that we will all have to improve our photography to to compete with you and Bob.
-
It Bob's photos that are excellent.
Here is the latest, this is from Revell, a Patton M47.
-
Hi Zak,
Looks very good.
Are you going to try a black and white photo?
Cheers Kevin

Hi Zak,
Yep, that looks good.
Kevin

Very nice Dave, the black and white photo's do look of the period.
Bob c
-
So what can this be?
-
You are not playing "mouse trap" are you ::) ::) ::)

Funny, you saying that, it is one of the games I really hate playing. So guess what, my granddaughters always want to play it!
-
Layer of brown parcxel tape followed by Polytex, now it has to set and see what it looks like.
-
Photos look great Dave. The mystery object looks like some covers or possibly a tent.

No, its too big for a tent.
It will involve a tank.
-
Is it going to be a revetment?
Sort of for a semi recessed tank in wait?
Cheers Kevin

Correct.

Base colour applied.
-
Grass, stage 1.
-
Last time I saw something like that, I think I eat it - hohhoho - food at sea was sometimes not good :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[
-
More grass added, still more to go.
-
Looking very nice Dave. One for Telford?

Looking very nice Dave. One for Telford?
I don't think so.
-
This was the inspiration.
-
A good rendition of a period photograph.
Funny how they inspire us.
Nice work,
Kevin

It's looking good Dave.

I think it looks great Dave.
Bob c

So do I, great work.
-
Thanks for the comments.

Some equipment adde, still a figure to go.

Some research suggest that US tank aerials came in 3 ft sections, the most common 9ft, they then stick up a long way, not easy for model transportation.
-
Good diorama and background Dave. Can't wait for the figures.

Only one!

Hi Zak,
That looks great with that backdrop.
It's amazing how it all works together.
Kevin
-
This is an M4A3E8 Sherman, Inchon landing Korea 1950.
An Italeri kit.
Still to be weathered.
-
Figure added.
-
Both look excellent Dave. Figure and background look good.
-
Looking good, I must try and source some scenic backgrounds they do make a difference.
-
Looks great Dave, that was a quick Sherman build.

Not really, working on it whilst doing others, I put one aside to dry and get on with another, so usually 3 or 4 on the go at once.
-
Dry brushed and weathered, almost finished.
Well I think that will be it.
Coat of varnish maybe.
-
Nicely done there Zak.
-
Excellent.
-
Here is the Tamiya M48A3 Patton, faults and all, still some work to do.
-
Nice work, Zak.
-
Looks good Dave.
-
Just about finished.
-
Nicely photographed.
-
Now its onto the Tamiya M26 Pershing from Inchon in the Korean War.
This will be a Marines vehicle.
-
Both the Sherman and the M48A3 look really good and nicely posed. I was thinking of getting a M48 and turning it into one used by the Israeli.
Bob c
-
I look forward to seeing that, I think I may try some Israeli stuff sometime. They seem to modify whatever they take on.
I gather they had some M10's they messed about with - replaced things and improved them.
-
Here is the Pershing, needs more work yet.
-
Wow what a production line.
Bob c
-
Very nice work.
A lot of good detail there.
Kevin

Looks good Dave.
