Yes Chris I think the parts were numbered up wrong, should have known to check everything twice as RS models have caught me out before.
Another mistake I made with their kits was not thinning down the axles before fitting to the plane, which again caused fun but I got there in the end. The kit gives a choice of decals for KG30, KG51, KG54 and KG66, stated as 1946, I suppose it's to fit in with the Luft46 theme but as the plane wasn't due to enter service 'til 1948 I used some for an a/c from 3/KG27 'Boelcke' from the Xtradecal sheet X72248 for the Heinkel He 111 H-5, H-5y and H-6 which I have in my stash as this was one of the bomber units which wasn't converted to fighters late '44 early'45. The kit gives decals for fuel, oil, 'No step' and 'No lift/jack' but no indication of where to put them so it was a combination of logic and artistic license. A spray of Games Workshop Satin was followed by a Flory Wash of Grime.
Overall I'm pleased with the result but I think you'd need some experience with short run kits before attempting this kit.
