Started this Cromwell Armoured Recovery Vehicle a couple of days ago. 1/35 Tamiya Cromwell as the donor kit with Accurate Armour conversion kit. the inside is scratch built after finding a couple of this on the internet.
I've got a few other Cromwell ideas so might end up with a squadron of Cromwell's.
-
Great stuff, you just love those Cromwell's.

Or a whole regiment?
-
I think a lot more than a regiment - now how many tanks has the British army got at the moment and how many has Bob got ????????
-
Bob may have more.
-
What's your ARV going to be recovering Bob?
Looking forward to seeing it finished.
-
done a bit more, calling the inside finished, and cut and cleaned most of the large parts. Today I've put the upper and lower hull together.
I think I need the recover myself just can't get going.
-
Great detail there Bob,
more pics of the radio please.
-
I’ll see what I can do, the opening on the hull top is not that large.

Excellent again Bob

I fully agree, great work Bob.

Great work again!

Some more work done this morning, mainly resin and brass. The drivers hatch and main compartment opening is masked ready for spraying. Andy I used Resicast no.19 radio.
-
Impressive bits.

Looking forward to seeing this put together.

I'm calling it finished, it's nice to have a Cromwell without a turret.
The figures are Tamiya and Gecko.
-
some more pictures.
-
That is a fantastic model Bob. The tracks are especially good and you will be thoroughly interrogated about your technique at the next club meeting.
-
An excellent model Bob. I presume that is just paint on the parts that look like wooden slabs?
-
Another excellent model Bob
-
Yes Chris the wooden planks ish are a mixture of Tamiya, Ammo-mig, hataka and some burnt Siena oils.
-
Hi Bob,
Very good modelling skills in evident.
Wish I could achieve something near yours.

You know you've got it right when you have to look twice to realize
you're looking at a model and not the real thing.

I know that Bob does buy model aircraft, but he rarely show them.

Be careful Bob or you may get like (Zak and I - me and Zak - Zak and me) -- and people will not know what you will be making next ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Hi Bob,
Make what you want, the more varied we are as a club, the better!
