My, that's a big one!  Good work Kev.  The thing with trucks is that I would not be tempted to weather it but produce it to "Truck Show" standard, so would leave myself no room for error in the finish.  I think I may avoid such things for the time being anyway.

I shall have to see if I can work out how to load pictures on here!

Aha!  Finally remembered to log on so thought I'd just let you know I did so!  What a busy November meeting it was - I could hardly get next to myself, never mind get to the table to photograph the models and pick an entry for the competition!  It will be interesting to see how the venue develops - it seems a shame to have a "splinter group" in a different room.

On Monday and Tuesday I rang round all those I have numbers for that don't have email addresses.  Those with email addresses have been informed in the Newsletter email.  Everyone has been accounted for then, unless they're not on the contact list.

Now then.  Nice to hear from you at last Terry - and if I can echo the senitments of the others, whatever you need to know, just ask.  As you now know, we're all a friendly bunch of geezers and are more than happy to share hints, tips and experiences.

In our many conversations, we both know your models are coming on in leaps and bounds so be brave and post some pictures of them on here along with some accompanying text.  I'll do the same so we can both share the humiliation...

St George's Day is the traditional day for picking dandelions for wine - not this years though  and you can't get them in Boyes either!  I have just transferred 40 pints of dark ale to a keg for secondary fermentation.  It will be ready in about 3 weeks.  Tonight I started a vat of cider off.  That will be ready in a month or so.  By then, I should have enough rhubarb for this year's rhubarb wine.  Jolly good.

I am spoiled in that in Hull there are 3 Boyes' stores and also one in Beverley.  I've also noticed the variation in stock but like Tony pointed out, they are willing and sharp off the mark to provide stuff.  A service that's missing in a lot of places nowadays.

Tony, we have a massive patch of wild honeysuckle on the fields here.  If you fancy turning a gallon of that into wine this year, let me know and I'll get you some.
