My next project. I chose it because the box fell apart while handling it.
An Austrian macine with only four prototypes built between 1943 and 1945.
It looks as if the kit has an extra sprue which is not needed.

Hi Chris,
Looks interesting. In fact just been reading about the Fairey Rotodyne and part of the history refers to these and other early helicopters and autogiros.
Will watch this one with interest.

It looks very wierd - i love it - will follow with anticipation..
-
It looks like it will have fragile undercarriage, good luck.
-
Some sub-assemblies done. It's definitely fiddly.
-
Definitely NOT an MSea model then Chris - hohohoho
-
Looks like it will need all of your dexterous abilities.
Will be impressive when done.

Maybe.

I wonder why Doblhoff and Flettner went for lots of intricate framework? Most likely strength with lightness? The hard part is usually getting all the fiddly bits fully assembled.
-
You're dead right Chris. There are quite a few fiddly bits some of which will not be visible.
-
Cockpit interior complete. Very fiddly.
-
Very delicate.
-
That is some impressive detail in that small cockpit.
Well done.

Thanks.

Fuselage and tail assemblies.
-
Coming along nicely.

Undercarriage on. The main rear undercarriage took about half a dozen attempts to put on. I had to make a jig in the end to support the legs when the fuselage was pointing downwards.
-
That looks very delicate.
-
Looks like a delicate insect.

Much tooooooo delicate for me :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
-
Yes, it is very delicate. I haven't broken it yet.
-
Tail section fitted.
-
Looks good Chris,
Did you need an extra pair of hands to get it all together........?
Kevin

It was like working with eggshells all the time.
-
Interesting, another tiny machine.

Looking good, hopefully the rotor won't turn it into a tailsitter.

I think it will be ok Chris.

Painted and now ready for the decals and rotor attachment.

Looks good Chris.
Is there many decals with this one.

There are a couple of options - one with German insignia - but I've never found a photo, so It will be in the prototype scheme with reduced decals.
-
You could always do your own Chris and make it from "Zombie Airlines" - hohhoho
-
Think it will look good whichever scheme you choose.

Looks good Chris.

Finished. Quite a delicate kit in the end. It turned out not too bad.
-
Great, a real quirky beast.
-
Some delicate packing needed if it's to travel but a job well done.
-
Not too bad - thats an under statement Chris, its great
-
Thanks for the comments chaps.

A lovely well executed model.
