« Last post by MSea on Today at 10:21:19 AM »Yes I have been up in the loft and retrieved this from many years ago - its the Trumpeter 1/700 scale cruiser and also the White Ensign (that shows how long its been in the loft) set of etch brass for it. The base has been made and will be cleaned up at playday and the seam down the center of the hull removed - sorry Haddock but she will be displayed on plinths not in the water.
She was laid down in 1974 and commissioned in 1980. Most people call her a "Battlecruiser" because of her size but he Russians just called her a "Heavy nuclear powered guided missile cruiser"
Now will the fingers and eyes be still able to work on a 1/700 scale or will it end up in the box of shame

They will be done (or at least half of them) as a tribute to Saragarhi and Gandumuck - you can do your own history research or just look at the figures - hohohoho - with the title of "The Last Stand"
