Here's my latest.
Cyril kindly gave me this A39 Tortoise a few years back. THANKS Cyril.
I'm going to paint it up as though it was used in action.
Good fun.
Andy.

Great Andy -- its my type of tank
-
That was quick.
OK,OK I admit it. Its a 'what if'.

Hi Andy,
Doesn't matter if its a 'what if'
I know you'll do it justice.

I have no doubt that it won't be anything but 'right'

Will it be a SLOW build ????? hoho
-
Who makes it Andy, looks good.
-
Its a MENG kit.
-
What are they like - have heard good info about them.
-
Well this kit is quite simple but usually MENG kits are very detailed and somewhat over engineered. If you can mold a component in 2 parts MENG will do it in 8. Very much like AFV kits.
Andy.

Hi Andy,
Looking forward to seeing this one progress.
Cheers,

Here's the latest.

If you click on it and enlarge the photo it does give some idea of your shading.
Is it slow because it is a tortoise?
Anyone remember Bill and Ben, they had a tortoise called "Slowcoach" but they made it sound like SLOBODOB or some such.
Well done Andy, I have a King Tiger (Meng) if you would like it?
-
That's a really good finish you have there Andy. I feel I could rap on the side with my knuckles and get that proper thick steel "clunk" in return.
-
Yes I thought the finish was looking very realistic Andy.
-
Great job with the paintwork.
-
Good one Andy
-
Thanks Chaps,
Work in slow progress.

Well, it is a Tortoise.....

Great work here Andy, the shading works well. To my eyes it's an ugly looking beast even by tank standards.
-
Almost there.
Need to mount some machine guns from the spares, Source some transfuses and them the final weathering.
I can smell the end...
-
How does it small Andy - it look great so doing well for all the senses
-
Very good Andy
-
Smells like.... Victory!
Thanks all.
-
What if...…………………………………………...
-
OK here it is.
Looks like its been somewhere now.

Almost better than the smell of Napalm first thing in the morning.

I also liked the bit about capturing beaches to surf on.

-
Charlie don't surf!!!

Hi Andy,
Great that, looks real.

Brilliant job Andy. It looks like it should crash through the table with the weight of it.
