Time for something a bit bigger, this is the Ausf D from Tamiya.
Again in Afrika Korps livery.
I will need some different figures though.
-
Hello Zak,
That looks like an old kit. Nice simple build.
Andy.
-
It is quite old, suit me then.
-
it is oldish but a nice kit.

I have made a lot of progress with this, forgot to take any photos.
Here it is having a coat of varnish in the paint shop.
-
Looking good - now you have the army when do you attack and who ?????????
-
Next is another IV, but on opening the box I am daunted by the sheer number of parts, this looks totally over the top.
The Tamiya kit was pretty nice, it will be interesting to compare the two.
I don't think any B's made it to North Africa and so it will have to be a different paint job.

Here are the parts!
-
That should slow you down a bit!
-
Yes, it will, here is one wheel assembly.
-
This sand is everywhere!
-
Another great model!
( 4 Days!!! 4 whole Days!?!?!) Amazing!
-
Yep, amazing!
-
It just shows what a sad life I lead.
-
No Zak what you mean is "what a sad life WE ALL lead" - hohohhoho
-
Silly me, I thought that many parts would slow him down, doh!!!!
-
Looks really good, I think you should have a new name the modelling machine.

-
Or The Mighty Modeller!
-
It has slowed me down, so many bits to clean up and attach, mind you there will be a lot of spare parts as well.
-
Why make one part when you can make 4...
Great modelling Zak.
Andy.
-
Are them the bits you are not going to bother with.
Bob c
-
Here are all the unused bits.
The spares box will now be full to overflowing!
-
Ha,
Zak's plastic spares bank.
The growing deposit, that continues to grow and grow.....

Awaiting transfers.
Painted, coat of gloss.
-
Panzer grey then?
-
Panzer grey then?
Yes, this variant did not get to the desert, or it seems be very effective.
-
Will you do it in "zombie grey" ????????
-
Will you do it in "zombie grey" ????????
I refuse to be drawn on that.
Zombie Grey........................................... The bind moggles.

My eldest son sent me a WhatsApp with a photo of one of these saying he's just had a friend delete and block him on FaceBook. The guys French and they were talking about who won the first 'Tour de France'? Apparently the answer isn't the 5th Panzer Division!!

No, no, Andy. It's most definitely the German team in 1939 Tour de France.
